Guardian of berries
William Morris ( 1834 – 1896) was an English textile designer, poet, artist, writer, and socialist activist associated with the British Arts and Crafts movement in fin de siècle Great Britain. He stood for hand made products by artists in a time of industrialisation. opening up his home, the Red House, to other artists as a safe haven to inspire each other.
This paiting is inspired by a Paardverzameld Equine Art challenge and shows a stained glass portrait of my horse and Morris`strawberry thief. All the berries are seaonal to the autumn, when I created this work.Every artwork is packed securely for transport using reclaimed packaging material where possible. As soon as your payment is received I will run to the postoffice and let you know it`s on its way.
